These images are from this months Asiana Magazine shot in Mauritius by Alexandre Pichon. The beautiful embellished churidar are designed by Sache. This is another shoot I would have loved to have gone on!

The next few posts are from the past eighteen months. Let me now what you think.

This beret was covered in hand stitched crystal droplets which took me 10 hours to complete! The piece was commissioned by Faye Sawyer the stylist at X Factor for Diane Vickers X Factor finalist in December 08. I also made the silk flat cap for JLS.

I loved working with the dress designer Suzanne Neville and Alesha Dixion during the fittings for Alesha Dixion's video 'Breath Slow'. I created a sparkling crystal show girl piece on band for the shoot in Las Vegas.

Why do I not get asked along on these shoots? 'Love in Venice' was featured in the December issue of Cosmopolitan Brides. The model wore an Ian Stuart dress and my Art Deco vintage style headpiece that can be bought online.

Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite children stories and when Brides magazine asked me to make them a piece for this shoot, I jumped at the chance.
The band was made from silk, lace crowns and a leather red heart. I had so much fun with this 1950 styles bridal band.

Sent all my blue piece to NY for this shoot for Your Wedding Day (US Wedding magazine) for their 'Something Blue' shoot. I love the setting of this shoot.

In May 2009 Luella's launched the first Luella’s Wedding Dress Collection at Christ Church Spitalfields London. The event was attended by members of the bridal press including editors from You & Your Wedding magazine and Cosmo Bride. Shane Ryding designed the beautiful 1950s, 1960s styled wedding dresses and I designed a collection of bridal pillboxes, cocktail hats and bands to compliment the new Luella's wedding dress range. Geoff Reardon Photography shoot the catwalk and the back stage action. I spent the whole catwalk deciding which one or two or three dresses I would wear on my big day!!

In the August edition of VOGUE one of my pieces is featured in the Milan fashion story photographed by the legend that is Patrick Demarchelier' I have never been so thrilled! Always dreaming of seeing one of my hats in Vogue, turning to this page I wondered weather I should retire on a happy note! Then I remembered I was 27 with no pension!!
So pleased with the article Lisa Niven created on Vogue.com take a look.

.....The most difficult part is choosing from the vast options, with styles ranging from wide-brimmed numbers - topped with exotic feathers - to neat mini berets draped with dramatic French veiling. Taylor hand dyes most of the fabrics and feathers herself, mixing dyes to create the tones that best suit each individual client.

"I think that most women love the process of having a hat made for them," Taylor said. "If someone feels good in a hat, it can transform the way that they look; their neck can look longer, their posture changes. The right hat can transform an outfit from ordinary to extraordinary."

Asiana Shoot

East meets West. A great shoot by Asiana magazine in August 09. Model wearing a beautiful embellished dress from O'Nitaa (click for details on Asian Fashion Blog) and feathered headpieces from my bridal collection. These piece are also perfect for mother of the bride/groom and wedding guests as I can dye them to match.
My hats are better traveled than I am! This piece was flown over to Manhattan and shot by Arthur Elgort for Glamour magazines September 09 issue. The model is wearing Stella McCartney dress, Sergio Rossi shoes and Louis Vuitton clutch.

In September Tatler requested one of my winter cocktail hats for a woodland shoot in a Norfolk forest, photographed by Hyung-Won Ryoo and styled by Hannah Tear.

A felt cocktail hat featured in the 'Masterpiece Theater' Shoot. Photographed by Paola Kudacki and styled by Alison Edmond. "An undercurrent of painterly energy pulses through the fashion world this season. Combine attention-grabbing, art-inspired prints- from inky splashes to colourful graphics- with a single item of statement jewelery to create a vision that's as spirited as it is stunning' -Harpers describes this shoot. The hat worn with Louis Vuitton embellished dress and metal necklace from Burberry Prorsum.
Love this shoot! This piece is from my bespoke A/W 209-2010 collection that can be viewed online.
This hat was commissioned by Julia Boggio photography and styled by Kate Anya Styling. This vintage lace skull cap sits delicately at the back of the models head. The Tulle veil falls from the back of the headpiece and is trimmed with lace. Since this shoot I created an affordable bridal collection that can be purchased online. My new Bridal 2010 collection is inspired by 1920s and 1940s- Pearl Bow collection, Vintage Crystal collection and Blossom collection. Vintage style headpieces and cocktail hats created from sequins, pearls, net, veil, flowers, bows and crystal. Please take a look at Jane Taylor Millinery

Cosmopolitan Brides Magazine Shoot- Dec/Jan 2010

I designed a huge Russian winter hat for this shoot, using marabou feathers, felt and an antique military embellishment. I think it was the only thing keeping the model warm! The stylist was Sally Dixon and the model wears Max Chaoul at Rachel Couture, tulle dress.
